University College JCR Membership 2024/25
All University College undergraduate students are warmly invited to join the JCR (Junior Common Room), University College's undergraduate community for undergraduates studying here for three or four year courses. A one off payment at the beginning of the course covers the full period of study. The JCR Levy contributes to the everday running of the Common Room by an elected exec of current students. By joining the JCR you are becoming part of a diverse and vibrant community of students. Paying the membership fee entitles you to take part in common room events, sports and societies and so much more. The levy goes towards subsidising these activities from formals to Freshers' weeks and more meaning you can get involved in all that the JCR has to offer. Membership of the Common Room includes: Access to JCR facilities, College Sports and Societies and access to Common Room organised events including formals, voting right at Common Room meetings and elections (non members cannot vote). Eligibility to run for Common Room Executive and non-Executive positions (non-members can not be elected to or nominate others for Common Room positions)
Refund Policy: the University reserves the right to charge in full for all those services from which a student has not opted out before 22nd October 2024. Further information can be found by contacting: castle.treasurer@durham.ac.uk
