The International Glaciological Society will hold an International Symposium on ‘Ice Streams and Outlet Glaciers’ in 2025. The symposium will be hosted by the Department of Geography, Durham University, Durham, UK, on 20-25th July 2025.

This is a 23rd edition of a conference series founded in Leeds, UK, in 1979. This is one of the major activities of the international fluid dynamics research community taking place biennially. The conference will take place at Durham University on July 14th-16th 2025. The venue is the Department of Chemistry on Lower Mountjoy.

Co-organised by Durham and Edinburgh universities and sponsored by the Royal Anthropological Society (RAI), HEAT1 is a two-day international conference on planetary health and the environment. The conference will be hosted by Durham’s Department of Anthropology, one of only a few in the UK to integrate social, health, and evolutionary fields. Drawing from that diversity, HEAT aims to bring together perspectives from the full spectrum of contemporary anthropology.

This Event will take place on the 8th and 9th of April 2024.

Come join us for a magical evening at a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as Durham Castle opens its gate to celebrate the 20 wonderful years of our work in Zambia. We will be reuniting the Zamfam to acknowledge two decades of achievements and reminisce over our shared memories.

This event will take place on Durham Campus on the 24th of March 2025 until the 26th of March 2025.
