Membership Subscription

Here you can secure your membership of Stephenson College Junior Common Room (JCR) by purchasing one of our membership options. If you have any questions about JCR membership, please email stephenson.jcr@durham.ac.uk

JCR Membership allows you to be an active part of our vibrant student community at Stephenson College. Members are entitled to a number of benefits including discounted tickets to our events; discounted subs when joining our sports teams and societies, and the ability to shape the community around them via attending JCR meetings, participating in JCR committees, and even standing for elected office!

Three Year JCR Membership: £170 - for students on a three-year degree programme * or current second-year students who want to purchase a membership for the remainder of their degree course.

Four Year JCR Membership: £225 - for students on a four-year degree programme (Integrated Masters/Foundation programme) **

One Year JCR Membership: £65 - for Overseas Exchange and Study Abroad Students or current third or fourth-year students who want to purchase a membership for the remainder of their degree course.

Two-Year JCR Membership: £110 - for current second-year students who want to purchase a membership for the remainder of their degree course.

* Students on a three year degree programme which has an additional placement year/year abroad, need only pay for three years.

** Students on a four year degree may if they wish, purchase a three year membership and re-subscribe in their fourth year.

Securing your membership will allow you to get fully engaged with life in Durham and at Stephenson College for your degree course, irrespective of where your interests lie, there is something for you in the JCR!
