Membership Subscription

Please note there is a separate link to pay for MCR membership. The Junior Common Room is for undergraduates!

Membership of the Junior Common Room - Undergraduate Students - (JCR) and Middle Common Room Membership - Postgraduate Students - (MCR) confers the following rights and benefits:

1. Voting rights at Common Room Meetings and Elections (non members cannot vote).

2. Eligility to run for Common Room positions, both Executive and Non-Executive positions (non-members cannot nominate others or be nominated for Common Room positions).

3. Access to College clubs and societies, including College sports teams (non-members cannot participate).

4. Eligibility to apply to attend JCR events in College such as balls or formals (non-members cannot attend unless as a guest of a mmber).

The membership fee is used to contribute towards the running costs of the Clubs and Societies, JCR events and activities in College and to cover the cost of having a sabbatical JCR President who manages, along with elected student members, the Junior Common Room. Membership of the JCR is priced depending on whether you are due to enter on a 3 year or 4 year degree programme.
