Stephenson College and Stephenson JCR EDI Committee warmly welcomes everyone to our first Disability Pride Dinner on Monday 16 June 2025!

July is Disability Pride Month and we are starting the celebrations early here at Stephenson College, providing a fantastic opportunity to recognise each person’s uniqueness and promote visibility and mainstream awareness of positive pride felt by people with disabilities. The month is a chance to focus on and celebrate the disabled community and alongside the celebration, the month is also a chance to kickstart conversations about disability experiences and issues.

Join us for an informal two-course dinner in Saltwell on Monday 16 June. Attendees will gather from 6pm in Stephenson Central where the bar will be open prior to dinner being served at 6.30pm. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available to purchase and take into dinner. From 8.30pm, there will be post-dinner entertainment including a band and an improv group performance in Platform 2. A quiet space will be provided in Platform 3. Saltwell is fully accessible and also has an accessible toilet adjacent to the dining room.

Tickets cost £8.56 per person and the registration deadline is Monday 2 June at 09.00am. All members of the DU community are welcome. Please ensure any allergens and/or access requirements are detailed on the Ecommerce form.
