Purchase of New Academic Gown

Gowns are an important part of the history of University College dating back to its founding in 1832.  They are worn at formal events throughout the year and at Matriculation during Induction Week.  

Note, that for students who require financial support, there are a very limited number of second-hand gowns available at a reduced price (£24) - email castle.servicesmanager@durham.ac.uk to check availability and purchase one of these.
