Purchase of Gown

South College is gowned, meaning gowns are worn to Matriculation and Formal Dinners. Matriculation is a ceremony to welcome you to the University community, and formal dinners are a communal dining experience which take place regularly throughout the year. Many South students choose to buy their own gown, but there is no requirement to do so.
