PLEASE NOTE - ONLY STUDENTS WHO HAVE PURCHASED A SRC MEMBERSHIP WILL BE ABLE TO BUY A FRESHERS WRISTBAND.

 The Freshers’ Wristband is the essential ticket to your entire Freshers’ Week experience at Hild Bede! Run entirely by the SRC, the events and activities are all run by our student Freshers’ Reps (known in Durham as Freps) – and (we think) it’s the best way to get to know your fellow students and jump headfirst into life in Durham! What you get for your money: 

• A BIG party to end the week – with live music, karaoke, a Photo Booth, and more! 
• Entry into some of Durham’s favourite nightclubs Babylon, Fowlers, and Loft, exclusive to Durham students! 
• Exclusive access to the Vernon Arms, our College Bar, from Sunday 29h September to Saturday 5th October – open before the club nights, and until late for our parties, not to mention for the world-famous Vern Bar Quiz (every Thursday except during formals)! 
• Your very own Freshers’ T-shirt – a memento to keep for your time at university! 
• The Hild Bede institution that is Bedo’s Bingo – with games, prizes, and much more! 
• Chill events from board games and Wii Sports to an Escape Room and Murder Mystery if you’re fancying a quieter night!  
• Fun and varied daytime events such as a cafe crawl, a mobile petting farm, crafts, and a Sports Day!

N.B. Nightclubs in Durham will be very busy during Freshers’ Week, and there is no guarantee of gaining entry if you are not part of the college group. There are lots of scam ‘Freshers’ tickets’ about, and it’s best to stick with college as we have contacted venues on behalf of the whole cohort! '
