This scientific workshop, hosted by Newcastle University and Durham University between the 8th and 12th of July 2024, will explore current understanding of AGN populations with a particular focus on current and future observational surveys. A parallel objective to the scientific content, is to build research connections between the European and African continents. The workshop will take place primarily in the Physics and Astronomy buildings of Durham University but with a one-day excursion to our co-hosts at Newcastle University.
