IV Colloquium of Medieval and Golden Age Hispanic Studies (Universities of Durham and Northumbria)

The 4th Durham/Northumbria Colloquium on Medieval and Golden Age Studies will be held at Durham on 9–11 July 2024.

With this initiative Durham resumes a successful series of Colloquia organised biannually in partnership with Northumbria University, which ran to wide acclaim until the pandemic lapse in 2021.  The Durham/Northumbria Colloquium  is directed by Dr Manuel Hijano (Durham) and Professor Lesley Twomey (Northumbria). The event draws in the first instance on the pool of medieval and golden age scholars in the North East. The call for papers has attracted delegates from the UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and the United States. The Colloquium will consist of 18 panels and two plenary sessions. All sessions will be held at Elvet Riverside.
