Event Durham

The European Conference on Technology-Enhanced Learning (ECTEL) engages researchers, practitioners, educational developers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and policy makers to address current challenges and advances in the field. ECTEL 2025 will take place on 15-19 September 2025 in Newcastle and Durham, UK, with the theme Two Decades of TEL: from Lessons Learnt to Challenges Ahead. ECTEL 2025 will be a face-to-face conference.

For the special 20th anniversary edition, ECTEL 2025 will take place in 2 different venues in 2 different cities – Newcastle and Durham. The pre-conference days (15th and 16th September) will take place in Newcastle while the conference days (17th – 19th September) will take place in Durham. These two cities are only 10 minutes away by train, thereby allowing for easy transfers and fluidity between the two venues.
