Durham ExGal Advanced School on Astrophysical Simulations

calendar09:00 Monday, 15 September 2025 to 17:00 Friday, 19 September 2025

Numerical simulations of galaxy formation and evolution play an increasingly important role in astrophysics, forming a third pillar of research alongside observations and theory. Simulations enable us to examine the evolution of systems, even when nonlinearity or complexity limits the predictive power of theories. The Durham Advanced School is designed for everyone, with topics ranging from N-body simulations to simulations of the chemistry of the interstellar medium.
