University College Middle Common Room, also know as Castle MCR, is a thriving, diverse and supportive postgraduate community based in the heart of Durham Castle.  Our MCR has centuries of tradition behind it, it is also one of the largest and most active postgraduate communities in the University.  Our inclusive and friendly community can be experienced as you step into the beautiful and historic Maurice Tucker Room, exclusively used by our MCR Members.

Membership to our MCR will unlock a whole range of events and opportunities which will enrich your Durham experience including access to formals, access to MCR facilities, College Sports and Societies and all Common Room organised events.  Voting rights at Common Room meetings and elections (please note non-members cannot vote) and access to a supportive network of postgraduate members from a wide range of academic disciplines.
