South College
Performances on 8th and 11th June

Oswald’s Players, South College JCR’s new theatre group, round off their very first year with an epic, all singing, all dancing performance. Well, almost all… all except Paul. It’sThe Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals!

Rarely does disliking things loved by everyone else mean the end of the world.

However, Paul finds himself in this exact predicament. A contentedly dull everyman, he gets by slaving away at his 9-to-5 office job and coldly small-talking his colleagues. After bonding with barista Emma, his world is flipped when his fellow Hatchetfield citizens suddenly begin transforming into exaggerated shells of their former selves, prone to bursting into song and dance! As the only people in the town who hate musicals, it’s up to the decidedly unheroic duo of Paul and Emma to navigate this apocalyptically theatrical landscape with any help they can get – including from zany scientist Professor Hidgens, who hides a dark secret…

What’s behind this strange sensation? Will they save their friends before it’s too late? Will Paul win Emma’s heart? And will they ever like musicals?
