The Returners’ Formal, open to everyone, is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the start of a new academic year, see friends, get to know other Southies and enjoy some great food!

The menu is as follows:

Starter

Roasted tomato and red pepper soup with focaccia croutons and crumbled feta (v)

Main

Pancetta wrapped chicken with basil mash, stewed pepper tart, cavolo nero with diable sauce

OR

Butternut squash, butter bean and spring onion croquet with basil mash, stewed pepper tart, cavolo nero with diable sauce (v)

Dessert

Baked vanilla and strawberry cheesecake with strawberry purée and macerated strawberries

Entertainment

Piano during the formal and band: “Grass Fed Salmon” in the Nest 9-10pm

Please wear your regular formalwear and gown. The meal will cost £15.37, and doors will open at 18:45 and close at 19:15. You can bring your own drinks, free of charge (no corkage fees!). However, alcoholic drinks will be limited to one bottle of wine or two bottles of low percentage cider / lager per student.
