Van Mildert College Presents: Intercollegiate Pride Formal
Join us on the evening of 7th June for a formal like no other. Each ticket includes a three course meal, a performance from Mildert’s Big Band featuring hits from Queer Icons, and a chance to show what you’re made of on the Karaoke. For one night only, Mildert Bar will also showcase Rainbow Paradise Cocktails (non-alcoholic alternatives available), and other incredible drinks deals. We will also welcome Mel Metcalf, Chair of Durham Pride, to celebrate with us.
This formal is a non-profit event, with all proceeds above the cost price fundingMildert's Queer Awareness Project (QAP), a new initiative that empowers LGBTQ+ education and support. In QAP's inaugural year, volunteers worked with King James I Academy, Bishop Auckland, where we delivered weekly sessions and an assembly, fostering allyship, queer representation, and joy among young people. Participants have noted the positive influence that QAP has had in their school, and hope for its longevity.There will also be a raffle held throughout the evening in support of QAP, with many exciting prizes to be won.Join us in securing a future for QAP!

All others - £14.50
There will not be a seating plan on the evening, so please sign up either individually or in groups if preferred. On the night, please come to the hall in the group you would like to sit with, and we will direct you to your seats.
Menu
Starter
Roasted tomato and red pepper soup with focaccia croutons and crumbled feta (v)
Main Course
Pancetta wrapped chicken with basil mash, stewed pepper tart, roasted cauliflower with diable sauce
OR
Cauliflower and sun touched tomato beignet, cous-cous tabbouleh, tender stem broccoli and a lemon and caper dressing (vg)
Dessert
Chocolate and miso caramel tart with vanilla cream
Please note any dietary requirements when booking, as these will be catered for on the evening, and a close equivalent to the menu will be provided.
On the night
Bar to open at 6pm, with the meal commencing at 7pm, so please arrive in Mildert Bar from 6pm onwards to purchase any drinks that you would like throughout the meal. Entertainment to commence after the meal until late.
