Come Celebrate the Festival of Lights with friends at Ustinov College GCR
The College warmly invite you to join us for a formal dinner to celebrate Diwali, the festival of Lights, on 1st of November (Mount Oswald Hub).
Details for the Formal:
Location: MountOswaldHub, Durham, DH1 3FP.
Dress Code: Ustinov is not a gowned college, lounge suits and evening gowns are usually worn for College formals.
The Oswald Hub will be open from 6:30 p.m. Speeches and the formal is scheduled to start at 6:45 pm so please ensure you arrive in good time. There is no seating plan for this event, you can sit anywhere to meet lots of newfriends. The formal will end at approximately 9 pm after which Ustinov Bar will be open for us all to go to. Please note this formal is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) event, the Oswald Hub does not serve drinks so you will need to bring your own non-alcoholic/alcoholic beverage. Beer will not be permitted.
In addition to the above, please note that tickets are not refundable or exchangeable. We will need to see a valid email receipt from e-commerce on the door for entry. If you are a GCR Member, please ensure you bring your GCR membership card and your campus card as well.
Induction Formal Menu:
Chicken Makhani Salliwith steamed basmati rice and aloo gobi

Spinach and paneer Makhani Salli with steamed basmati rice (v)
Both Served with a Side of
Poppadums and naan bread with mango chutney, raita and lime pickle
Dessert:
Cardamom and honey set lassi with cinnamon granola and caramelised mango (v)
The event will be followed by Bollywood Night hosted at the Paddle. Come dance the night away to some Desi tunes!
