Join us for a festive winter formal in the Great Hall at Durham Castle—set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site which boasts a thousand year old history! Durham Castle's Great Hall provides the perfect location for a warm dinner surrounded by the incredible Ustinov community. The perfect chance to have a wonderful evening with close friends, right before we break for the holidays!
Venue: University College (Castle), Palace Green, Durham DH1 3RW
Dress Code: Traditional wear is encouraged; alternatively, lounge suits, cocktail dresses, formal gowns, and suits are also welcome.

- 18:45 – 19:00: High Table Procession (all must be seated by then)

Please ensure you are carrying your campus cards and your GCR membership cards. This will be used to check against records and allow entry into the formal.
Please ensure plenty of time for yourself to walk over. One of our volunteers will be walking people over from Sheraton Park at 18:00, please join them if you’re unsure about your way there.
Considering British weather around this time of year can be a little unpredictable, please dress appropriately. Dress warm, and maybe carry an umbrella.
The venue does not permit you to bring your own bottle of wine to the dinner. The Undercrof Bar will be open before and after for anyone seeking to buy alcohol. After the dinner, we will be returning to the Undercroft Bar to celebrate the rest of the evening.
