Colleges and Common Rooms

Ustinov College is the only college in Durham university which hosts formals in Durham Cathedral. The dinner will take place in the cathedral chapter house. This historic room was originally used as a meeting place for the resident monks but in more recent years it has featured in the Harry Pottermovies as the classroom of Professor McGonagall.

Due to the very limited space in the Chapter House not many tickets are available. As a result, they will only be open to GCR members for purchase at the price of £50.

The Dress code for the event will be black tie.

The menu options will be (dietary requirements can be submitted and accounted for on a case-by-case basis, if you can't have any of the options listed here you can still attend and be given a different meal):

Main: Chicken Supreme, Creamy White Wine Sauce, Crushed Charlotte Potato, Fine Green Beans, Julienne Carrots

Main (Vegetarian): Wild Mushroom Stroganoff, Blue Cheese Crumb, Crushed Charlotte Potato, Fine Green Beans, Julienne Carrots

Dessert: Brownie, Caramel Sauce, Cream
