The ticket price includes travel only. Please note there are places to eat and for you to buy food/refreshments in York but you are also welcome to bring a packed lunch if you would prefer. Entry to York Minster or any other ticketed site will be additional money - the ticket price is for travel to and from Ustinov at the times below.
Timings:
Coach to depart Ustinov: 10:15
Coach to depart back to Ustinov: 17:15
Arrival back at Ustinov: Approximately 19:00
Please be advised owing to the traffic, travel to and from York is likely going to take some time on the roads. The bus will need to leave on time in the morning and refunds will not be issued if you miss the bus.
About York
York is a walled city in northeast England that was founded by the ancient Romans. Its huge 13th-century Gothic cathedral, York Minster, has medieval stained glass and 2 functioning bell towers.
The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York, commonly known as York Minster, is an Anglican cathedral in York, North Yorkshire, England, and is one of the largest of its kind in Northern Europe. Entry is ticketed at £14 for students (upon showing a valid student ID).
There's also the National Railway Museum, which is a museum in York forming part of the Science Museum Group. The museum tells the story of rail transport in Britain and its impact on society. Entry to this museum is free of charge.
Finally, Shambles Market - a daily market held in the city centre of York, England. It was created in the 1950s after the clearance of a large area next to the Shambles, when large sections of the Shambles were demolished, including the entire street known as Little Shambles. There are numerous incredible shops here to buy souvenirs and refreshments. A lot of these shops have been owned and operated by families for generations!
