Trevelyan College MCR would like to invite you to our ‘Haunted House’ Halloween Inter-MCR Formal Dinner on Tuesday 5^th November.

We look forward to welcoming postgraduates from all colleges to join us for a spooktacular evening of food and entertainment, which will include a performance from Trevs’ house band, the Manglers, and a DJ following the meal. The dress code is smart attire, with your gown if your college has them, but feel free to add a splash of the supernatural if you wish!

The college bar will be open from 6 – 6.45 pm prior to the meal for purchase of drinks. You may bring your own wine but you must pay a £5 corkage charge at the bar when you arrive.

Please arrive at Trevelyan College by 6.30 pm at the latest. The dining hall doors will be closed promptly at 7pm.

The menu for the Inter-MCR Formal is:

Starter

Crispy ham hock and garden pea terrine, celeriac remoulade, saffron aioli and leaf salad

OR

Baked goats’ cheese en croûte with pickled beets and apple salad (v)

Main Course

Braised beef, truffled mash, roasted roots, crispy onions and bourbon sauce

OR

Slow braised carrot and chestnut wellington, truffled mash, roasted roots, crispy onions

and bourbon sauce (v)

Dessert

Sticky toffee pudding, salt caramel sauce and vanilla cream

If you have specific dietary requirements, please ensure that these are included on the booking form.

If there is a group you would like to sit with, please include a group name on the form when you sign up. Otherwise if you would like to make the most of the opportunity to meet new people from other colleges you can leave this blank and we will take care of the rest!

Bookings and Cancellations

Places can be cancelled until bookings close atfter this time, no cancellation or refund will be possible. To cancel a place before this time, please log-in to your Ecommerce account and cancel it, and then please email trevelyan.collsec@durham.ac.uk so the payment can be refunded.
