Colleges and Common Rooms

We are delighted to invite SCR members and their guests to book their places for the Christmas Formal Dinner on Tuesday 5 December 2023.

The College Bar will open between 18.00-18.45, with the meal beginning at 19.00 in the Dining Hall. The dress code is black tie and not gowned.

The menu for the Christmas Formal is:

Starter

Winter vegetable soup, with truffled gnocchi (v)

Main Course

Carved turkey breast, with chateau potatoes, thyme-roasted carrots, parsnips, brussel sprouts, pigs in blankets, stuffing balls and red wine sauce

Roasted butternut squash & leek wellington, with chateau potatoes, thyme roasted carrots, parsnips, brussel sprouts and red wine sauce (v)

Dessert

Chocolate and orange truffle torte, with vanilla chantilly cream (v)

Sweet mince pie (v)

Bookings and Cancellations

Places can be cancelled until bookings close atfter this time, no cancellation or refund will be possible. To cancel a place before this time, please log-in to your Ecommerce account and cancel it, and then please email trevelyan.collsec@durham.ac.uk so the payment can be refunded.
