St Cuthbert's Trip to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and Bamburgh 2026

Join us for a coach trip to Holy Island, where St. Cuthbert lived and worked. We will also be calling at Bamburgh to visit the village and beach, set against stunning views of the castle.

The coaches will be departing from and returning to Brooks House, Parson's Field (DH1 3JP). Please arrive at Brooks House for 8:30am.

Note- This Event is only available to St. Cuthbert's Society Members (including SCR)

Wednesday 17th June 2026

08:30 - Meet at Brooks House, Parson's Field Site (DH1 3JP)
09:00 - Depart Durham
09:00-10:45 - Travel to Holy Island Causeway
10:45-11:00 - Cross the Causeway
11:00-14:00 - Free time on Holy Island including visit to Lindisfarne Castle

14:00 - Depart Holy Island
14:00-14:15 - Return across the Causeway
14:15-15:00 - Travel to Bamburgh
15:00-17:00 - Visit Bamburgh - Castle photos, beach, village for Ice cream or refreshments

17:00 - Depart Bamburgh
17:00-18:30 - Travel back to Durham
18:30 - Arrive Durham (Parson's Field)
