On Saturday, 7th December 2024, Hatfield Bar (The Burt Room) will transform into a cosy winter wonderland filled with holiday spirit. From 5PM to midnight, come and enjoy an evening packed with seasonal vibes, exciting activities, and plenty of festive fun. All students, undergraduate and postgraduate, from all colleges (and their guests) are warmly invited to attend this Hatfield MCR-organised event!
Food & Beverages:
Our drinks menu is brimming with festive flavours to keep your spirits high. As well as the usual bar drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), choose from three unique ciders (Raspberry, Black Cherry, and Marmalade) or two classic beers (DMAXIM Swedish Blonde and Landlord Pale Ale), or a special wintry cocktail. If you’re in the mood for something warm and comforting, don’t miss our mulled wine or Baileys hot drink, the quintessential drinks of the season. We have a set of bespoke pint glasses to complete the occasion.
The café will also serve festive toasties to satisfy your hunger. Try our Cranberry & Brie toastie for a savoury holiday treat, or indulge in the decadent Chocolate Marshmallow toastie for a sweet twist.
Entertainment & Games:
Get ready for an evening packed with fun and entertainment! Challenge your friends to classic party games. We’ll also be running a Pub Quiz for the intellectuals among you! Whether you’re flexing your trivia skills or having a laugh, there’s something for everyone.
Adding to the festivity, Hatfield College Chapel Choir will grace us with a performance of seasonal songs from 6PM. Then, enjoy a curated playlist of festive tunes throughout the night to keep the holiday mood alive.

Tickets for Winter Sessions are available on our event booking platform with two early bird tiers:

All ticket tiers will be released simultaneously, so act quickly to snag the best deal. Once the lower-priced tickets sell out, customers will need to purchase the next available tier. With limited spaces, you won’t want to wait!
We’re giving away four Winter Sessions Toasties as an extra festive bonus!
