Hatfield and Castle MCR are collaborating for a joint 'Research Roulette', themed 'Climate and Conflict'. Following 10-15 minute presentations from PGRs and PGTs from both colleges, attendees and speakers can socialise over free Pizza and Wine (non-alcholic options available). If you are not a levy-paying member of either Hatfield or Castle MCRs, you will be charged an entry fee of £3.00.
We are proud to present a joint Research Roulette with Castle to take place on Saturday 20January 2024 at 5.30pm in the Birley Room.There will be wine and non-alcoholic drinks served at Hatfield, followed by a social in Castle – complete with more wine and pizza! The theme is ‘Climate & Conflict’ in recognition of ongoing armed conflicts that are taking place around the world and the UK’s Big Energy Saving Week initiative. We will be hearing from people across all disciplines whose research focuses on sustainability, internatonal development, peace and warfare, etc.
This is a great opportunity to socialise with fellow postgraduates at a different college, receive feedback on your ideas, and practice presenting in a professional/academic context so you can build up experience for future events like conferences or business launches.
