Grey College is hosting a welcome back ‘Oktoberfest’ celebration formal. A fantastic, fun evening for our current students, staff and senior common room members to come together to celebrate the start of the academic year. So, raise your stein and join us in a toast!

SCR Members should arrive at the SCR from 6.30pm for a pre-dinner drinks reception, to be seated in the Dining Hall by 7pm.

Bookings are open now and will close at 08:00 on 1^st October 2026 or when the formal sells-out, whichever is sooner.

Oven-roasted pork joint and crispy pork belly with gremolata mashed potato, confit carrot, fine beans, sage crisp

Portobello mushroom steak with gremolata mashed potato, confit carrot, fine beans, sage crisp (v)

Dessert

Cookies and cream cheesecake with chocolate sauce (v)

Followed by complementary cheese board in the SCR

Dress code: Gowns must be worn (there are spare SCR gowns for people to borrow on the night).
