Ustinov College Senior Common Room exists to support the life of the College and to enhance its integration into the wider University and local community.

Our Vision

To become widely recognised as a vibrant community that makes a tangible contribution to the intellectual and social life and student experience at Ustinov College and furthers the international reputation of the College and University.

Our Mission

To create an environment that:

• supports College research and scholarly activity,
• builds links with the wider University and North East communities
• forges working relationships with the College’s GCR and college scholars through jointly planned events
• welcomes and hosts visiting fellows
• organises social and recreational activities that are integral to enhancing College Life
• facilitates collegiality and the development of global citizenship
• provides opportunities to support the professional development of Ustinov students
• supports interdisciplinary dialogue with postgraduate students, academics and community members
